District 192 Health Services

The goal of school health services is to maintain and promote physical and emotional health to maximize student learning.

These pages have been created for the convenience of parents of children in Farmington schools and include information about school health policies,forms, general health information and resources. 

Health Services in District 192 are coordinated by a Licensed School Nurse (LSN). Each elementary, middle and high school health office is staffed by a Registered Nurse (RN) called a building nurse. The services provided by Health Services staff members:

  • Administer first aid and emergency care
  • Administer medications as needed.
  • Assess individual student health and developmental status
  • Promote and maintaining the health and well-being of all students
  • Develop and execute health plans for students with a health condition
  • Provide nursing treatments
  • Coordinate prevention and control of communicable disease 
  • Participate in health education
  • Recommend new and updated health policies
